How to extract pages from a PDF

Three steps, and your file stays on your device the whole time.

  1. 1

Drop a PDF into the drop box

Or click to browse for it. Nothing is uploaded.

  2. 2

Click the pages you want to keep

Or type a range like 1-3, 7, 12-15. Shift click picks a run.

  3. 3

Click Extract and download the new PDF

The pages keep their original order. Your original file stays as it was.

When to extract pages from a PDF

Often you need a few pages of a file, not all of it. These are the usual ones.

One document out of a bundle

A single statement from a year of them, or one annex from a long contract. Pick its pages and you get a PDF with nothing else in it.

Only the pages a form asks for

Portals often want just the signed page, or the first page of a passport scan. Extract that one page and upload a file that holds only what was asked.

Sharing without the rest

Send the pages someone needs and keep the rest private. The other pages are not hidden in the new file; they are simply not in it.

A chapter to print or read

Type the chapter's pages, such as 45-72, and print or share just those from a long manual or book.

A smaller file to send

Fewer pages make a smaller PDF. The size of the new file shows under the button before you save, so you know whether it will fit an email.

No catch

Extract pages as often as you like

Pull out one page or fifty, as many times as you need. There is no daily limit and nothing to sign up for, and your file stays on your computer or phone.
