Why it's free
Every tool here is free, with no watermark, no daily limit, and no account. It is not a trial. The reason is how the tools are built.
Your browser does the work
Most PDF sites upload your file to their servers, change it there, and send it back. Every file costs them computing time, storage, and bandwidth, so they need limits, watermarks, and subscriptions to pay for it.
ElectricPDF works the other way around. We send you the tool, and your own device does the work. Your file is opened, changed, and saved without going anywhere.
What it costs to run
The site is a set of plain pages. Serving them costs about the same whether people process ten files or ten thousand, because none of those files ever reach us.
There is no storage bill, since nothing is stored, and no processing bill, since your device does the processing.
What we do not do
With costs that low, none of the usual tricks are needed.
- No watermark on your files to push an upgrade.
- No daily limit and no page limit.
- No account, no sign-up, and no email list.
- No selling your files or your data. We never have them to sell.
