The short version: your files never leave your device. We count how the site is used, never what is in your files.

Your files

Every tool runs inside your browser. Your file is read from your device, changed in memory, and handed back to you as a download. It is never sent to a server, ours or anyone else's.

You can check this yourself: the Security page shows how to watch every request a tool makes, and your file is never one of them.

What stays on your device

So a reload does not lose your work, a tool keeps the file you are working on in your browser's own storage, on your device. The same storage carries a file from one tool to the next when you choose to continue in another tool.

A saved session is ignored and cleaned up after a day. A preference you set, such as a 12 or 24 hour clock, is remembered the same way. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes all of it at once.

What we collect

As little as a website can.

  • No account, no sign-up, and no email address.
  • No advertising and no tracking across other sites.
  • No cookies.
  • Never your files themselves: not their contents and not their names.

What the host sees

Like any website, the service that delivers these pages sees ordinary request data: an IP address, a browser type, and which page was asked for. That shows a page was loaded. It says nothing about your files, which are never part of a request.

Counting visits and tool use

We count visits on a server we control, so the numbers are not shared with an analytics company. A small script reports which page was opened, the site that linked to it, the country, the language, the kind of device and browser, and load times.

Inside a tool, it can also report what was done, such as which tool ran, whether it finished, and plain numbers like how many pages a file had or how large it was. That tells us which tools are used and where they fall short.

It never sends your file, its contents, or its name. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you to other sites.

Changes

If any of this changes, this page changes first, and the change will be stated plainly here.
